Intel will release a new processor called Core I5 around September 2009. But, if Intel would gossip ngerilis other processors have started to develop.
One of them is rumored to be Gulftown which appears under the name Core i9. These processors will have a physical brain 6 (core), but the system would have identified 12 brain (logical cores).
Yes, 6-core processor has Hyper-threading support in each core. So that this processor can handle 12 thread at once.
These processors will be used on Intel X58 based mainboard. This is nothing but a pair mainboard Core i7. If that's true, Core i9 would be 'logical choice' for user who wants to Core i7 upgrade jeroannya.
No official statement from Intel about the 'toy' is their latest. However, the few outstanding news, i9 Core processors mentioned will be released in early 2010.
