Google Chromium OS Beta Available For Dell Mini 10v Netbooks And More

Saturday, November 28, 2009 · 0 comment

The Chromium OS has been open-sourced for hardly a week and some industrious tinkerers over at Dell have already delivered a beta version especially designed for the Dell Mini 10v netbook.
Here’s how to get it:

I have released an USB key image file to: http://linux.dell.com/files/cto. The file name is: “ChromiumOS_Mini10v_Nov25.img.”  It contains a functioning image of my USB key loaded with ChromiumOS.  In addition, I have made a best effort attempt to get the Broadcom Wi-Fi adapter working in this image.  It’s definitely not perfect (read: highly experimental, untested, unstable, yada yada…) but it does appear to function.

This version’s boot time is around 12 seconds, a bit longer than earlier reported. The makers mentioned a few other minor issues you might be interested in knowing about:
  • It will take more than 5-10 *minutes* for the ChromiumOS network connection manager to “see” the access points and allow you to select and connect – be patient.
  • Wired connections appear to work fine and appear quick to connect.
  • There are currently issues with both the connection manager as well as the underlying components (wpa_supplicant) that can easily break or get hung. When in doubt, reboot and give it another try.
  • Use this image at your own risk – it comes to you totally unsupported and very minimally tested.
Still, for the amount of time that the Chromium OS has been available for netbook users to mess with, it looks like a solid effort. For more info on how to get Google’s new operating system on your netbook, read the article over at Dell.

However, if you are satisfied with the features provided by default? I'm sure most of the web browser is not satisfied because the standard feature of Mozilla is not enough demand in memebuhi surfing in cyberspace. Take a look at the firefox.exe, there listed memory for 86.872 Kb or about 86.67 Mb. Imagine, I just open a page of Blogger, Google and several Add-Ons that active memory is used so much. Especially if we open many pages? This will make the computer memory capacity tepakai futile run that performance was not perfect.
Finally, the existence of this problem I am trying to figure out how to get out mangkas memory used to run with Optimal Mozzila.

Stylish 1.0.7

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 · 0 comment

Restyle the web with Stylish, a user styles manager. Stylish lets you easily install themes and skins for Google, Facebook, YouTube, Orkut, and many, many other sites. You can even customize Firefox and other programs themselves.

User styles are pieces of code that affect the way websites and the interface of certain programs look and feel. User styles can do things like remove ads, provide a different colour scheme, and change fonts.
Programs that support user styles

Mozilla-based programs like Firefox and Thunderbird can use Stylish to manage their user styles. This is the recommended way to use user styles. When used in Mozilla-based programs, user styles can also affect the program's user interface.

Mozilla-based programs also provide built-in support for user styles with the userContent.css and userChrome.css files. There is no user interface to these files, so managing multiple user styles is difficult. Additionally, you must restart the program every time you add, change, or remove user styles. This is why Stylish is recommended.

Other web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Opera support user styles, but do not have interfaces for them either. They do not allow user styles to change the program user interface.
How user styles are different than user scripts.

User styles exist mainly to change the way things look. They are written with CSS, the same language that web sites use to control their appearance. Most browsers allow for user styles out of the box (with varying degrees of ease).

User scripts exist mainly to change the way things act. They are written with JavaScript, the same languages that web sites use to create certain dynamic behaviours. Most browsers do not allow for user scripts out of the box. Greasemonkey is a well-known extension that adds user script support to programs.

There exists a fair bit of overlap between user scripts and user styles. Some things can be accomplished with either method. User styles can change the user interface in Mozilla-based programs such as Firefox and Thunderbird, while user scripts cannot. User scripts can add behaviour to web sites, while user styles cannot. In general, it is recommended that if something can be done with user styles instead of user scripts, it should be done with user styles instead of user scripts. This is because user scripts can cause a site to flicker, as they have to wait for sites to load completely before firing, while user styles are not under this restriction. User styles are also generally easier to write.
Where to find user styles

The largest collection of user styles is available on userstyles.org.
User style security concerns

User styles can cause security problems because they can contain XBL bindings, which can contain executable code. Styles posted on userstyles.org are not allowed to define XBL bindings.

User styles can cause hangs at application startup if they contain @imports to servers that are slow to respond. Styles posted on userstyles.org are not allowed to use @import statements.

User styles can change websites so much that what you do on them may be misleading. For example, they could move another field on top of a log in field, which could potentially lead you to submit your login details to another place. Generally, this is unlikely to lead to a security issue, but it is possible.

Now I will discuss about the technology from Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2.
I received a sample test Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 a few days ago from Web tom's hardware. Graphics card is not ready for prime time. For example, the driver gave a poor performance as the standard Quad SLI now be postponed.

Nvidia 9800 GX2 manufactured by Point of View.

Destination Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 with a simple, with all graphics cards are very high end. Companies want to take back the coveted title by a powerful 3D card that surprising. NVIDIA lost rivals when ATI Radeon 3870 X2 out. It was not fair, even today, to build a chip card in the two main currents. However, as we noted earlier, it was a design that has several advantages from the standpoint of production.

NVIDIA CEO himself stated last month that he believed GeForce 8800 GTX remains the most powerful cards and has a GPU board the best approach, even if the dual-GPU board the world's fastest, it will be accepted. Is there a case with GeForce 9800 GX2?
